Illinois head coach Renee Slone has announced the signing of Emily Joers from Waukesha (Wis.) West and Stephanie Miller from Stevenson (Ill.) High School to National Letters of Intent.

Coach Slone on the Class of 2013:

"We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Emily, Stephanie and their families to the Fighting Illini women's golf family. Both Emily and Stephanie understand the vision of our program and can't wait to be a part of making that vision a reality. They are extremely excited about the direction our program is heading and are looking forward to playing key roles during an historic period for our team. Emily and Stephanie are outgoing individuals that mesh well with our team dynamic. They are team players and willing to do whatever it takes for the team to be successful. Both have enjoyed successful juniors careers and are constantly striving to improve. We can't wait to assist them during their collegiate journey and continue that improvement process. We know they will make an immediate impact on our program and represent our athletic department in remarkable fashion."

Has posted 23 rounds under par in high school competition ... Qualified for the U.S. Women's Amateur ... Qualified for the Junior PGA twice ... Two-time qualifier of the Junior Worlds ...
