Sophomore Hailey Koschmann was tied for the lead heading into the final round of action at the Illinois Open.

Romeoville, Ill. - Sophomore Hailey Koschmann's final round 76 couldn't damper what was an impressive showing at the Illinois Open this weekend at Mistwood Golf Course in Romeoville, Ill. Koschmann used rounds of 70 and 71 in the first two rounds to finish at one over par 217 and in a tie for third at the 6,045-yard par 72 course. Former Illini Seul Ki Park '08 finished one stroke back in sole possession of sixth place after rounds of 72-71-75-218.
Illinois was again represented near the top of the leaderboard. Sophomore Samantha Sloan (75-74-72) tied for 11th at 221. Sophomore Nora Lucas (77-69-76) finished one stroke behind Sloan at 222, in a tie for 14th. Megan Godfrey, of Homewood tied for 24th after rounds of 70-78-78-226; Stephanie (Mory) Wagemann '08 of Savoy tied for 30th at 229; and sophomore Abby Cotter of Noblesville, Ind., tied for 35th at 231.
