Seul Ki Park leads six Illini into the final round of the Illinois Women's Open

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Former University of Illinois golfer Seul Ki Park is in the mix heading into the final round of the Illinois Women's Open after firing a 3-under par score of 69 during Friday's second round at Mistwood Golf Club in Romeoville, Ill. Park, who wrapped up her eligibility with the Orange and Blue in May, sits in a tie for second place in the "State Championship of Golf" with a 36-hole total of 143. Five other Illini joined park in making the cut to Saturday's final round.
Freshman-to-be Samantha Sloan is tied for eighth place (148) with rounds of 75 and 73 and is followed closely by another incoming freshman, Hailey Koschmann in 16th place (75-76-151). Stephanie Mory (73-80-153), a 2008 UI graduate, and sophomore Raquel Hopton (80-73-153) are tied for 24th place, while freshman-to-be Nora Lucas (77-77-154) is tied for 29th in the 93-player field.
The Illinois Women's Open is a 54-hole stroke-play event. The field was cut to the low 40 percent plus ties after Friday's second round. Admission for the final round at Mistwood GC is free.
