    Romeoville, Ill. - Several current and former University of Illinois players had solid days during round one of the 15th Illinois Women's Open. Sophomore Hailey Koschmann and former Illini Megan Godfrey '06 are tied for second after firing two-under par 70s at the 6,045-yard par 72 Mistwood Golf Course in Romeoville, Ill. Brooke Beeler of Butler is in the lead at -3.

    Other Illini among the leaders include Seul Ki Park, '08, tied for 12th at even par (72) and Stephanie (Mory) Wagemann '08, tied for 21st at +2 (74). Current sophomore Abby Cotter is at +4 (76). Second-round action continues on Friday. The field will cut for Saturday's third and final round.
