Sam Postillion Wraps Northwest Women's Open

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Illinois redshirt junior-to-be Sam Postillion finished ninth in the Northwest Women's Open this week after posting rounds of 78 and 75. The field featured both professionals and amateurs as Postillion finished as the low amateur of the tournament. The Northwest Open was held at the Twin Lakes Golf and Country Club in Federal Way, Washington.
Postillion's strong performance comes after she finished 21st last week at the TRANS Amateur Championship at Schaffer's Mill Golf and Lake Club in Truckee, California, where she shot a final round of 73.
Last season for the Illini, Postillion was one of two players to compete in all 11 tournaments and finished the season with a 77.06 stroke average, good for second on the team.
