CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) released the list of All-American Scholars today, comprising a total of 664 women's collegiate golfers from all three NCAA divisions. Representing the Illini and earning the prestigious honor on Wednesday were Sam Postillion and Erin Ahern

The criteria for selection for the All-American Scholar team is considered one of the most stringent in all of college athletics, needing a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50. In addition, all golfers must have competed in at least 50 percent of the regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the past year.

Postillion, now a red-shirt senior from Burr Ridge, Illinois, is majoring in Business Management while teammate Erin Ahern, a senior from Hinsdale, Illinois, is majoring in Aerospace Engineering. Postillion earned All-American scholar status for the second consecutive year.

The achievement marks the fifth straight year the Orange and Blue have garnered the award and the 21st overall. Finally, it marked the 10th time more than one Illini golfer has been bestowed the honor.
