Kiawah Island, S.C. - The Illini women's golf team wrapped up its 2004 fall schedule today, finishing play at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate, hosted by the College of Charleston at the par 72, 5,911-yard Oak Point Golf Course. Illinois, which shot its lowest round of the fall yesterday during the first round - a 302 - kept up that level of play this morning during the completion of the second round. The UI carded a 304, marking its second lowest team score of the season. However, the team then struggled in the third and final round, tallying a 319 to finish 12th with a 54-hole total of 925. Campbell won the 18-team tournament with a score of 882.

Junior Megan Godfrey became Illinois' top finisher for the third time out of five tournaments on the season. Godfrey tied for 23rd place at 9-over par, shooting in the 70s all three rounds. Godfrey carded rounds of 75, 73 and 77 for a total of 225 strokes. Her 1-over 73 during round two marked the low round of the tournament by an Illini golfer.

Freshman Seul Ki Park recorded the lowest 54-hole score of her UI career, tying for 38th place with a 229 total. Park carded consecutive 74s - marking her career-low rounds - and finished with an 81.

This concludes the fall season for the Illini. Illinois begins the 2005 spring campaign March 4-6 in Arizona at the East/West Rio Verde Invitational.
