Illini Finish Fifth at Eagle Landing Invitational

ORANGE PARK, Fla. - The Illinois women's golf team completed the third and final round of the Eagle Landing Invitational on Sunday with a 304 (+16), giving the Illini an overall score of 900 (+36) to place fifth in the 18-team field. South Florida (883) took first place followed by Maryland (886) and East Carolina (890) in the top three.
Individually, senior Katelin Dilger led the Orange and Blue for the first time this season, finishing in a tie for 13th overall. The Palmdale, Calif., native carded a 73 (+1) in the third round to finish with a 221 (+5) for the tournament. Senior Nora Lucas (224) shot a 79 (+7) in the final round to finish in a tie for 18th place.
Senior Hailey Koschmann (228) finished in a tie for 34th place after posting a 75 (+3) in the third round. Sophomore Ember Schuldt and senior Samantha Sloan finished in a tie for 44th place with a score of 231, with Schuldt shooting an 81 (+9) and Sloan shooting a 77 (+5) in the final round.
Campbell's Kaylin Yost (215) took first place while Stetson's Alex Buelow, Maryland's Juliet Vongphoumy, and South Florida's Shena Yang tied for second with an even 216.
Illinois will be back in action on March 19-20 when they travel to St. George, Utah for the BYU Entrada Classic.
