Annual Golf Outing Set for June 24
April 22, 2013
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Fighting Illini fans will be able to show their support for University of Illinois women's basketball this summer at the team's annual golf outing on Monday, June 24, at Stone Creek Golf Club in Urbana. The University of Illinois Employees Credit Union is the event's major sponsor. Head coach Matt Bollant and his staff will play alongside fans in groups of four in a scramble format, lunch and dinner will be served, and a program featuring a number of silent and live auction items will conclude the day's event.
Individuals can participate in the outing for $125, which includes 18 holes with a cart, a photo of the player's foursome with Bollant, lunch and dinner. Hole sponsorships are available for $125 and the sponsor will receive the appropriate hole sign from the event, autographed by Bollant.
The MVP sponsorship package includes golf for a foursome, a hole sponsorship with sign autographed by Bollant, a photo of the foursome with Bollant, lunch and dinner for $600. Fans interested only in attending dinner and the live auction at the end of the day can purchase admission for those events for $25. Checks should be payable to University of Illinois. Donations for the auction and the raffle also are being accepted.
Proceeds from the golf outing will help the Illini achieve their goal of taking a foreign tour in the summer of 2014. Last year's event raised $15,000.
