    Life
These days I am enjoying some down time just a bit. Not having three-hour practices everyday really frees up part of my day! Now that I have that big chunk day open, I have been able to focus on graduating and my internship hours. I also have had some more time to sleep, which is a nice change! ☺ I don't have to wake up so early all the time, except when I have treatment. Life has definitely calmed down some since the end of the season. I don't think it has really hit me yet that I am completely done with Illinois Basketball.

    Internship
My internship with the SID office is going well! I helped work the baseball game last week against Chicago State. I got to see everything that goes into hosting a game and got to see us win! ☺ It was quite fun because I haven't been to many of their games. It was good to see the Illini get a win! I also am the host for the April Illini Insider show on the Big Ten Network so I taped that last week too. It was cool to see how they use the teleprompter for the show and how that is all done. Other than that I'm just helping out at the office and with the spring sports!

    Training
Even though I am done playing here, I still work out on my own time (which is the best! ☺) I can actually sleep in and wake up when I want and go to the gym. I still meet with our trainer, Paul, to get healthy while I train. I also meet with our strength and conditioning coach, Coach Price, who will run me and give me lifts to perform so I can stay in shape for WNBA camp later this spring (more on that later). The training is going pretty well so far. I'm just trying to get stronger and get healthy for the next step in my life.

    The Next Level
The WNBA Draft is coming up later this week and I really have no expectations for it. I am excited to see if I'll be picked and to find out where I'll have to go to try out for their team. I am very anxious to start playing again and to see how I play against top players and vets from the League. I know it will be a lot of hard work and will be really competitive, but that's my favorite thing about this sport. I love being competitive. Your pride really comes out and how much heart you have for this game. It's nerve-wracking not really knowing my future but I should be excited for the unknown!

    Home Sweet Home
I went home this past weekend for Easter. It was the first time in awhile that my mom had my brother and me there at the same time for a family dinner! It really meant a lot to all of us to have us all together for Easter. My mom and I did a bunch of girly stuff like shopping, and going to get a manicure and pedicure. We just laughed and had a good time! It was really fun to just laugh and have quality time with her. She one of my best friends and I wouldn't know what to do without her.

It was also to spend some quality time with my dad. He and I played some spades and just laughed together. I went with him to buy a flat screen TV that he has wanted forever! I also saw some friends at home and it was really good because I haven't seen some of them since high school. It was fun to catch up with friends and former teammates and to see what was been happening in every ones lives. We got to look back and laugh about the good old days! I am really glad that I got the opportunity to go home! ☺

Well that's been my life lately. I hope you guys are enjoying the weather! Keep watching our spring sports, they are AMAZING!

    Until next time...GO ILLINI!
