CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - All fans will receive free admission and parking to the annual "Pack the House" game presented by WCIA when the Fighting Illini women's basketball team hosts No. 16 Nebraska at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 12. The Pack the House promotion has annually been Illinois' best crowd of the season, with 4,175 fans watching the Orange and Blue face Michigan State last year.
Groups can request blocks of tickets by emailing assistant marketing director Karl Feak or calling the Illinois Ticket Office at 1-866-ILLINI-1.
The first 150 fans will be able to sit courtside in special "royalty court" seating and the first 2,000 fans will receive paper crowns in an effort to break the world record for the most people wearing paper crowns at the same time. After the game, the entire Fighting Illini team will sign autographs for fans.
After having Monday's game at Northwestern postponed to Jan. 15 because of snow and high winds, Illinois heads into this week 7-7 overall and 0-1 in the Big Ten after dropping an overtime contest to Wisconsin in the Big Ten opener on Jan. 3. The Illini host No. 14 Penn State on Thursday before welcoming the 16th-ranked Huskers to State Farm Center.
