Jason Sweet is in his first year as the program's video coordinator after joining Jolette Law's staff in September 2010. Sweet is responsible for film exchange, video breakdowns for scouting purposes, maintenance and upgrades for the SportsTec video editing system, and all other technology associated with video editing. He also oversees the student managers.

Sweet comes to Illinois after serving as the Director of Football Operations at Bucknell University, where his responsibilities included digital video editing and coordination of film exchange in addition to assisting the head football coach in the organization of the football program and monitoring the program's budget and financial well-being. Sweet spent this past summer as an Athletic Development Intern at Illinois working with the Varsity "I" Association.

Sweet attended Michigan State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration - pre-law, with honors, in December 2001. He went on to attend Michigan State University College of Law, earning a Juris Doctor in 2006.

Sweet and his wife, Bridget, reside in Champaign. Bridget is an Assistant Professor of Music Education at the University of Illinois.
