Donohue Tabbed Big Ten Runner of the Week

PARK RIDGE, Ill. - Mark Donohue earned the final Big Ten Runner of the Week honor of the 2011 season announced by the conference office on Tuesday. Donohue finished first for the Orange and Blue and third overall at the Illini Open last Friday with an 8K time of 25:49. The Des Plaines, Ill., native was one of two Illini to place in the top 10 at the meet, with his finish being the best of his career.
This marks the first time Donohue has earned this honor in his career and the first Illini to pick up the accolade this season. The last Illini to earn the feat was senior Chris DeSilva who was named Big Ten Runner of the Week on Oct. 26, 2010.
