Eleven Illini men's track and field athletes in three events will head to Eugene, Ore., for the 2013 NCAA Outdoor Championships from June 5-8 at Heyward Field. The Orange and Blue will be represented in sprints, distance and both 4x100m and 4x400m relay teams.

Two Illini will compete in the 400m at the NCAA Championships, including junior Stephon Pamilton and freshman Juan Paul Green. Pamilton finished fourth in his heat with a time of 46.63. The junior also won the Big Ten Championships in the event, placed fourth in the 200m and was part of the runner-up 4x400m relay team, totaling 22 points for the Illini. Earlier in the year, Pamilton's lifetime best time of 46.00 was set at the LSU Alumni Gold Meet and ranks seventh in school history.

Also competing in the national meet for the first time is Green. The freshman clocked a time of 46.64 at the NCAA West Prelims to advance to Eugene. Green set his personal best time in the event during the prelims, crossing the finish line with the 12th overall time of 46.63. Pamilton will also run the third leg of the 4x100m relay, which will compete at nationals for the fourth year in a row. The 4x400m relay squad won their heat at the NCAA West Prelims in a time of 3:05.33, which comes in as the sixth fastest. The relay look to place at the NCAA Championships for the first time since 1994 when the crew of Dorian Green, Anthony Jones, Ben Beyers and Scott Turner finished fourth.
