PARK RIDGE, Ill. - Illinois men's track and field sophomore Andrew Riley was named Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference office on Wednesday. The Kingston, Jamaica native reset his own school record in the 110m hurdles at the LSU Alumni Gold Invitational on Saturday, finishing first in 13.53 seconds and defeating a talented field that included Olympian Ryan Fontenot.

Riley's mark ranks second in the NCAA this season and broke his old school record by .08 seconds. The three-time All-American also placed second in the 100m dash with a time of 10.62. The accolade is the second of Riley's career, as he also earned the honor last season on April 29, 2009.

Up Next: Illinois will compete at the 101st annual Drake Relays from April 22-24 in Des Moines, Iowa at Drake University.
