CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- University of Illinois senior Vanier Joseph has been named Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week following his performance at the Illinois Twilight, the conference announced Wednesday.

Joseph won the 110m hurdles on Saturday with a personal-best time of 13.41, which currently ranks first in the nation. The mark is also a facility record at the Illinois Soccer and Track Stadium and is the second-fastest in school history. The Redford, Mich., native has won the event at three consecutive meets, beginning with the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational on March 29.

This is the second time Joseph has earned Big Ten Track Athlete of the Week honors in his career. His first weekly award came on March 27, 2013, which is also the last time an Illini earned the conference honor.
