Iowa State NCAA Qualifier Schedule
CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Sophomore Andrew Riley and senior Greg Shroka will both compete this Saturday, March 6 at Iowa State's NCAA Qualifier in an attempt to improve their positioning and earn a trip to the NCAA Indoor Championships. Competition will be held on the 300-meter track at the Lied Recreation Center.
Riley, fresh off his victory in the 60m hurdles at the Big Ten Championships, currently ranks 13th in the nation in the 60m hurdles with a time of 7.81. The Kingston, Jamaica native will run the event prelims at 11:10 a.m. while the finals of the 60m hurdles will take place at 12:15 p.m.
Shroka, who is coming off his best-ever finish (3rd) at the Big Ten Championships, is tied for 19th in the nation in the high jump with a leap of 7-1 ¾ (2.18m). The Cedar Lake, Ind., native begins competition at 2:30 p.m.
The NCAA Indoor Championships are scheduled for March 12-13 in Fayetteville, Ark., at the Randal Tyson Track Center.
