CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- The Illinois men's track and field team returns to the UI Armory this Saturday, Feb. 22 when they host the Orange & Blue Open. Joining Illinois in the final meet of the regular indoor season will be Illinois State and Missouri Baptist. Field events will begin at 10 a.m., with running events starting at noon. A meet schedule and heat sheets can be found above.

Cam Viney is coming off of a fifth-place finish in the 60m hurdles at the Spire Invitational, and will compete in the event this weekend alongside teammate David Kendziera, who won the event at both the Illini Classic and Illini Open earlier this season. Highlighting the 60m dash will be Julian Smith. Smith placed second in the event at both the Illini Classic and the Illini Open, and will compete with teammates Fuad Akinbiyi and Maurice Watkins. The trio of Smith, Akinbiyi and Watkins will also compete in the 200m dash.

Connor Rachford, Chase Skenandore and Darius Thomas will represent the Illini in the 600m run, while Zebo Zebe will compete in the 800m. Zebe set a personal-best in the event last weekend at the Iowa State Classic. The 3,000m run will feature six Illini, including Ian Barnett, who clocked a new personal-best last weekend, along with Brendan McDonnell, Paul Zeman, Tommy King, Anthony Manfrin and Jereme Atchison. The final event of the day will be the 4x400m relay.

Cody Klein, Matthew Bane, Blaze Galardy and Brandon Carrel will represent the Illini in the pole vault. Klein reached a season-best height his last time out at the Husker Invitational, while Galardy and Bane are coming off of top-10 finishes at the Spire Invitational. Illini Open runner-up Ian Briscoe will compete in the high jump.

This will be the final meet of the regular season for the Illini, as they travel to the 2014 Big Ten Indoor Championships in Geneva, Ohio on Feb. 28-March 1.
