CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Illinois' men's cross country team was honored this week as a U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic team for the 2008 season, receiving the honor for the second consecutive year.
The Orange and Blue compiled a cumulative team GPA of 3.285 to receive the honor. To be eligible to be an All-Academic Team, a team must have a minimum team cumulative GPA of 3.00 and compete and compile a team score at a NCAA Regional meet. Illinois was one of six Big Ten school represented on the men's list.
