1998: Team?s No. 1 runner for the second-straight year...Earned second-consecutive all-region honors with 22nd place finish at NCAA District V Meet...Also placed 22nd at Big Ten Championships...Top individual finish was third at Illinois Invitational...Set his collegiate-best 8K time at the Saluki Invitational, 24:45, to finish in fifth place.

1997: Finished a team-high 14th at the NCAA District V meet, November 15...Was Illinois? top runner in five of seven meets on the season...Collected four top-five finishes in the first four meets of the season...Was fifth at the Illinois State Invite (25:09), fifth at the Eastern Illinois Open (24:59.59), fifth at the Illinois Invite (30:40) and second at the Illini Classic (25:04).

1996: Ran in five of the Illini?s seven meets with his best finish coming at the Pre-NCAA District IV Meet where he placed sixth out of 72 runners with a time of 25:13...His fastest time of the season came at the Illinois Invitational on September 14 where he crossed the finish line in 25:12...Suffered a hip injury at the Pre-NCAA Invitational in Tucson, Ariz....After sitting out the Big Ten Championships, he returned to place 92nd out of 231 competitors at the District IV Championships.

High School: Earned six letters in high school three each in track and cross country...Ran a 30:21 in the 10,000m...That time was not only tops in Canada among juniors, but it has been surpassed by only a half dozen American high school runners ever...Named the Athlete of the Year at Sir Winston Churchill his senior year...Holds school records in the 3,000m, 5,000m and 10,000m...Member of three Ontario Cross Country team championships...Has competed internationally in world junior cross country competition...Qualified for the Canadian Olympic Trials with a time of 30:21 in the 10,000m...Member of the Canadian Junior Cross Country Team that competed in the 1996 World Championships in South Africa.

Personal: Born February 2, 1977...Parents are Bruce and Carol McClennan...Majoring in engineering...Won the Outstanding Scholar-Athlete Award for 1997-98 as Illinois' top male sophomore scholar-athlete.
