    AT ILLINOIS...

    1999: Ran personal best 8K time of 25:33.07 at the Illinois Invitational, finishing ninth overall and fifth for the Illini • Placed second for the Illini at the Pre-NCAA "B Race”.

    1998: Competed in four meets for the Illini • Top finish was a 15th place showing at the Illinois Invitational • Was Illinois’ fifth scorer at the Saluki Invitational, running season’s best 8K time of 25:51.


    High School: Earned four letters each in track and cross country • MVP of cross country team all four years • All-Metro (St. Louis) in cross country as a senior • Four year all-conference selection • Qualified for state in the 3200 meters as a junior and senior.

    Personal: Born March 9, 1980 • Parents are Mark and Linda Grinter • Majoring in English • Aspires to become a free-lance writer after college.
