CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- The Amateur Wrestling News announced their first team freshman All-America receipients as Illinois' Caleb Ervin was selected at 149 pounds.

"We are all really happy and proud of Caleb, and the recognition is well deserved," head coach Jim Heffernan said. "Making the AWN all rookie team is always an honor and historically a pretty good indication of future success. "

Ervin was the full time starter at 149 pounds for the Illini, posting a 22-14 record and received an at-large bid to the 2013 NCAA Championships.
