CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- The automatic qualifier allocations for the 2013 NCAA Wrestling Championships were released on Thursday. Each qualifying tournament was awarded spots per weight class based on current year data and the Big Ten Conference received 74 spots, the most of any conference. Each wrestler was measured on the following: Division I winning percentage; rating percentage index (RPI); and coaches ranking.
The wrestlers that place within the qualifier allocation for their weight class at the Big Ten championships receive an automatic bid for the NCAA championships. The Big Ten breakdown is as follows: seven for 125, seven for 133, six for 141, eight for 149, seven for 157, eight for 165, eight for 174, six for 184, eight for 197 and nine for heavyweight.
Final Coaches' Panel Rankings and RPI were also released Thursday. The following is a list of Illinois wrestlers ranked in the final Coaches' Panel Rankings/RPI.

Illinois will host the 2013 Big Ten Wrestling Championships next weekend, March 9-10 at the Assembly Hall. Tickets are still available for the tournament and fans can purchase by visiting FightingIllini.com.
