    Illini wrestler Kyle Ott at age 2 at a high school wrestling match. His father, Mark, was a head coach.

    Ott as a youngster during his club wrestling days. His mother, Sherry, began the club in his area.

    Ott's knee just after his first surgery. The cause of the discoloration is still unknown, but signified dead skin down to his kneecap.

    Ott had another operation to create a tube to serve as a blood source to what would become his skin graph.

    This operation set up a future procedure. Here you can see the opening between Ott's leg and the tube.

    In this operation, a flap of skin from Ott's upper inner thigh was used to cover his knee.

    Ott in the hospital following more surgeries. In all he had 12 on that knee.
