1999-2000: Earned his second Varsity “I” award serving as a backup at 174 pounds • Posted a 5-4 record competing at the St. Louis and UNI Opens.
1998-99: Compiled a 10-6 record wrestling at 174 pounds • Placed fourth in the freshmen/sophomore division at the St. Louis Open • Earned his first Varsity “I” award.
1997-98: Was injuried during the preseason and did not compete in any meets • Redshirt season • Worked out at 167 pounds.

1997 Amateur Wrestling News All-American • Was a four-time Missouri state finalist • Was a three-time state champion and finished second his freshman year • Earned high school All-America honors by finishing fifth at the national championships held in Pittsburgh • 1997 AAU Folkstyle National Champion • Named the St. Louis Wrestling Officials Association's Missouri Wrestler of the Year • Third-team Asics All-American • Team captain • Also earned a varsity letter in football • St. Charles West won the state wrestling team title the last three seasons • Four-time honor roll student.
