ILLINOIS
1999-2000: Compiled an 18-11 record as a starter a 174 pounds including a 13-1 dual record Was 8-0 in Big Ten dual competition after going 0-8 as a sophomore Placed fourth at the Big Ten championships earning his second berth in the NCAA championships Strung together a then-team high 13 consecutive victories from January 13 to March 4 improving his record from 4-7 to 17-7.
1998-99: The Illinis regular starter at 174 pounds Opened the season with a eight-match win streak and was 12-2 after his first 14 matches Won the St. Louis Open and finished third at the Las Vegas Invitational Finished the season with a 13-17 record Earned his second Varsity I award.
1997-98: Proved to be one of Illinois most improved wrestlers in his freshman season Finished with a 20-14 record as the starter at 167 pounds Qualified for the NCAA Championships and finished 2-2 at the tournament Placed seventh at the Big Ten Championships Recorded one fall on the year Earned his first Varsity I.
1996-97: Redshirt season Finished 2-1 at the St. Louis Open while competing unattached in the Frosh./Soph. Division.
HIGH SCHOOL
A three-year letterwinner, who compiled a career record of 96-19 Went undefeated in dual meets as a junior and senior Two-time-state qualifier, placing third in Class AA at 140 pounds in 1996 Team captain as a senior Earned academic all-conference honors twice Member of Illinois state freestyle team.
