2003-04: Recorded wins in duals against Big Ten opponents Nate McMillin of Indiana and Bryce Markley of Purdue...Pinned Tom Donohoe in 3:23 to help the Illini beat McKendree...Helped the Illini win the first dual of the season by defeating Jon Sioredas of UT-Chattanooga...Went 3-2 at the Missouri Open and 3-2 at the UNI Open...Wrestled at 165 pounds.
2002-03: Won his third Varsity “I” award … Went 2-2 for the season, competing at the Missouri Open.
2001-02: Started against Southern Illinois-Edwardsville at 174 pounds on January 18 ... Earned first career Big Ten start against Iowa on February 24 ... Finished the year with 4-4 record as a backup at 174 pounds ... Earned his second Varsity “I” award.
2000-2001: Compiled a 13-8 record at 165 pounds … Earned his first Varsity “I” award.
1999-2000: Redshirt season … Only competition of the season was a third-place finish at 165 pounds in the freshman/sophomore division of the St. Louis Open.
HIGH SCHOOL: Posted an 82-0 record over his final two prep seasons, winning individual titles each season and state team titles in 1997 and 1999 … Four-time varsity letterwinner in wrestling … Earned one letter in cross country and one in football … Voted outstanding “A” wrestler at the 1999 Illinois state meet … Four-time all-conference and three-time all-state honoree.
