ILLINOIS
1999-2000: Earned his first Varsity “I” award competing as a backup at 165 pounds • Posted a 2-2 mark with his only action coming at the St. Louis Open.
1998-99: Only action of the season was competing at the Northern Iowa Open where he posted a 0-2 mark at 157 pounds • Earned Academic All-Big Ten honors.
1997-98: Redshirt season after transferring from junior college • Competed at the St. Louis Open at 150 pounds and finished with an 0-2 record.
HIGH SCHOOL
A three-year wrestling letterwinner…Earned All-Central Suburban Conference honors in wrestling and football…Waukegan finished fourth at the state wrestling meet in 1994.

Born 2/21/78 • Son of Michael and Marlyn Cook • Wrestled at the College of Lake County, a junior college, prior to coming to Illinois • Qualified for the JUCO national championship • Was a member of the college honor roll • Had two older brothers who attended Illinois • Kinesiology major.
