2012-13: Competed in two open tournaments this season ... Placed fifth at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open, going 5-2 overall ... Went 1-2 at the Loras Open ... Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
2011-12: Compiled a 5-3 record this season ... Placed fifth at the Loras Open ... Was part of the starting lineup against Lock Haven, dropped his bout 9-7 against Seth Creasy ... Named an Academic All-Big Ten selection.
2010-11: Redshirt season ... Went 5-8 on the year, wrestling unattached in open tournaments ... Went 3-2 at the Michigan State Open ... Went 1-2 at both the Lindenwood Open and Flash Open, and 0-2 at the Loras Open.
HIGH SCHOOL: Placed fourth at the 2010 IHSA Class 2A state championships at 160 pounds ... Led Central to a fourth-place finish at the 2010 IHSA Class 2A dual team state championships ... Earned six varsity letters: three in wrestling, two in football and one in lacrosse.
PERSONAL: Born Feb. 8, 1992 ... Parents are William and Eva Acheson ... Has an older brother, Alex, who played baseball from 2007-10 at the University of Evansville ... Majoring in kinesiology ... Plans to become a personal trainer following graduation.
