2000 INDOORS
Earned All-American honors for the third time in his career
as a part of the 4x400m relay team that placed seventh at the NCAA
Championships ... Ran the first leg of the victorious 4x400m relay team at
the Big Ten Championships ... Placed fourth at the Big Ten Championships in
the 60m dash, while placing seventh in the 200m dash ... Was a double winner
at the Illinois Invitational, winning both the 60m and 200m dashes ... Won
the long jump and also the 60m at the Illinois Open, setting a new personal
best in the 60m with a time of 6.76 ... Won a total of six races/jumping
competitions for the Illini.
OUTDOORS
Had a solid season the Illini, competing in the 100m dash, 200m
dash and the long jump ... Won the 200m dash, while placing second in the
100m dash at the Billy Hayes Invitational ... Ran the opening 200 leg of the
Sprint Medley Relay team that won at the Drake Relays ... Won the long jump
at the Houston Dedication Meet.
1999 Indoors
Scored for the Illini at the Big Ten Championships with a
sixth place finish in the 200m (21.85) and seventh place in the long jump
.. Ran a personal best in the 60m at the Illini Classic, with a time of
6.82.
Outdoors
Earned All-American hon
ors by finishing seventh in the long jump at the NCAA Championships, with a
leap of 25-7 1/2 ... Scored in two events at the Big Ten meet with a second
place finish in the long jump and sixth place finish in the 100m ... Won
both the 100m and 200m at the Southern Illinois Invite ... Placed first in
the long jump at the USTCA Challenge.

Redshirted while recovering from a back injury.

Earned his second varsity letter while being hampered by injuries
.. Placed sixth in the Big Ten 100m and seventh in the Big Ten 200m ... Ran
the lead leg on the 4x100m relay which finished fourth in the Big Ten ...
Was unable to long jump during the season.
1997 Indoors
Had an impressive freshman season earning All-America and
Big Ten honors ... Was named an All-American with his ninth place finish in
the long jump (24-8 1/2) at the NCAA Championships ... Placed sixth in the
55m (6.42) and third in the long jump (24-8 1/4) at the Big Ten meet.
Outdoors
Finished a close second in the long jump (25-8 3/4w), and fifth
in the 100m (10.55) at the Big Ten Championships ... Earned first-team
All-Big Ten honors as a member of Illinois' winning 4x100 relay team ...
Placed 14th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the long jump.

Broke the Class A record for the long jump (24-2) at the 1996
state meet ... Won state titles in the 100m, 200m, long and triple jump,
leading his school to an overall team championship during his senior season
.. Claimed five Illinois state titles during his illustrious career.
