AT ILLINOIS:
2005:
Had a strong season in Long and Triple Jump, with a 1st place finish of 23'02.00 at the Health Alliance Classic. Also finished 1st in the 60m at the Health Alliance Classic with a time of 7.05.
2004 Outdoor:
Opened the season by winning the long jump (24'02.25") at the TSU Relays ... Regionally qualified in the long jump and had a season-best leap of 24'05.50" at the Drake Relays ... Was second in the long jump at both the Cal Invitational (24'00.25") and the Clemson Invitational (23'10.00").
2004 Indoor:
Placed first in the long jump with a season-long leap of 24'04.25" and second in the shot put (42'11.75") at the Saluki Fast Start Invite ... Took second in the heptathlon, with 4,902 points at the Dartmouth Relays ... At the Illinois Open, finished second in the long jump, third in the 60m and fourth in the high jump ... Was first in the long jump at the Illinois Invitational with a jump of 23'00.75" ... Had a career-best triple jump of 45'06.25" and finished first in the long jump at the Carle/Health Alliance Invitational.
2003 Outdoor:
Turned in a career-best jump of 24'03.50" to finish fifth in the long jump at the Big Ten Championships ... That jump qualified him for the NCAA Regional Championships and moved him into ninth on the Illinois career long jump chart.
2003 Indoor:
Won the long jump at the Illini Classic with a jump of 23'08.75" ... Also made the finals in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.01, finishing fourth ... Finished second in the long jump and fifth in the 60 meters at the Illinois Invitational ... Finished second at the Carle/Health Alliance Classic in the long jump.
2002 Outdoor:
A viral illness at the midpoint of the season cut back his progression ... Did record a second-place finish in the long jump at the Clemson Invitational with a leap of 23'05.50" ... Also competed for the Illini in the long jump at the Big Ten Championships.
2002 Indoor:
Won three long jump titles including his collegiate opening meet, the Illinois Invitational with a leap of 23'03.50" ... Had a season-best jump of 24'05.50" to win the Carle/Health Illini Classic ... That jump moved the freshman into ninth on the all-time Illini long jump list ... Won the Alex Wilson Last Chance long jump title with a jump of 23'07.50".
High School: Two-time national long jump champion ... Six-time Connecticut State Champion in the long jump, triple jump and high jump... Won the New England High School Championship twice in the long jump ... State record holder in the long jump with a leap of 25'00.25" ... Won seven letters in track and field, four in the outdoor and three indoors.
Personal: Son of Mark and Kathryn Fournier ... Majoring in graphic design ... Hopes to be a graphic designer in New York City after college ... Was named the Illustrator of the Year in high school.
