Dennis Nevolo was named to the 2012 USTA Collegiate Team for the second-straight season.

WHITE PLAINS, N.J. - Former Fighting Illini standout Dennis Nevolo was selected to the 2012 United States Tennis Association Collegiate Team, the USTA announced today. The two-time All-American was one of 16 men's and women's players chosen to compete on the USTA Pro Circuit, marking his second-straight selection to the team.
The nine-member men's roster also features fellow 2012 All-Americans Chase Buchanan (Ohio State), Mitchell Frank (Virginia), Jarmere Jenkins (Virginia), Steve Johnson (USC), Evan King (Michigan), Bradley Klahn (Stanford), Eric Quigley (Kentucky) and Ray Sarmiento (USC).
The USTA selected players based on performances at the NCAA Championships, the ITA All-Americans and the National Indoor Championships.
Nevolo finished his career at Illinois tied for sixth in career singles (116) and combined (211) wins and ranked ninth in doubles victories (95). His career-best 32-10 mark in singles play in 2011-12 was good for 10th on the Illini single-season wins list. Nevolo was the second Illini in program history to earn All-Big Ten recognition in each of his four seasons and was Illinois' first two-time All-American since Ryan Rowe (2006, 2007) and Kevin Anderson (2005, 2006, 2007).
Current pros who were members of prior USTA Collegiate teams include James Blake, Bob and Mike Bryan, John Isner, Illini great Amer Delic, Jesse Levine and Irina Falconi.
