FLUSHING, N.Y. - Illini junior and preseason No. 26 Dennis Nevolo fell in the first round of action Thursday at the 2010 USTA/ITA National Indoor Championships held at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. Nevolo was defeated by 2010 NCAA national runner-up and 10th-ranked Austen Childs of Louisville, 6-3, 6-3, and will now compete in the tournament's consolation draw.

This is the final weekend of fall play for the Illini, who will also be in action at the Crimson Tide Fall Championships, Nov. 5-7 in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
