Illinois Dishes Out 7-0 Shutout vs. Penn State
Illini Earn Third Shutout of Big Ten Season
Freshman 2012-13
Jesse finished 10-9 overall in singles matches with a 5-3 dual match record... Earning a spot into the lineup at the end of the season, Jesse accomplished a 4-1 mark in Big Ten play, including a three-set battle against Ohio State's Hunter Callahan... Was the lone point in the NCAA Tournament loss to No. 16 Vanderbilt, winning 11 straight games to take a straight set victory... Achieved a 19-12 record in doubles matches... Along with partner Jared Hiltzik, the duo went undefeated in Big Ten play at 7-0 and 14-5 in the spring... Best win came against No. 32 McCarthy/Van Engelen of Ohio State... Voted Most Improved Player and Player to Watch next season.
