2002-03:
Won the NCAA singles championship and earned University of Illinois and Big Ten Male Athlete of the Year honors and ITA Player of the Year distinction
Represented college tennis in the 2003 U.S. Open main draw as a result of his national singles title
Earned All-America and All-Big Ten honors for the third year in a row
Garnered Academic All-Big Ten and George Huff (excellence in academics and athletics) Awards
Ended up the season No. 2 in singles and No. 11 in doubles
Reached the singles final and won the doubles title with Calkins at the ITA All-American tournament in Chattanooga
Also advanced to the singles final and won the consolation doubles title with Calkins at the ITA National Indoors
Advanced with Calkins to doubles quarterfinal in USTA Challenger at the University of Illinois
Joined the ITAs contingent of U.S. college players at an exhibition series in Japan following the season in June

2001-02:
Earned All-America honors by advancing to the Final Four of the NCAA Doubles Tournament with Michael Calkins; made Sweet Sixteen in NCAA Singles draw
Played No. 1 and No. 2 singles, and had an overall record of 30-13, 8-1 in the Big Ten
Put together a 31-11 doubles mark, mostly at No. 1 with Calkins; the 31 team doubles wins are No. 3 on the Illinois single-season list
Earned All-Big Ten honors
Top singles victory came against No. 1 Matias Boeker of Georgia
Won Region IV doubles title with Calkins
Reached Region IV singles finals in the fall
Ended the season with the No. 4 doubles ranking (with Calkins) and No. 12 singles ranking nationally

2000-01:
Earned All-America honors by virtue of his berth in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Doubles Tournament with Graydon Oliver
Played mostly at No. 3 singles, and had an overall record of 26-15, 11-1 in the Big Ten
The 28 doubles wins are No. 13 on the Illinois single-season doubles victories list
Put together a 28-11 doubles mark, mostly at No. 1 with Oliver
He and Oliver were Illinois' first-ever duo to earn the nation's No. 1 ranking (Apr. 6-17, 2001)
Top singles victory came against No. 41 Harsh Mankad of Minnesota
Won the regional doubles title with Oliver over classmates Phil Stolt and Brian Wilson; reached the final of the regional singles tournament
Chosen the ITA Region IV Rookie of the Year and the Big Ten Freshman of the Year
Selected with classmate Phil Stolt as the Univ. of Illinois co-Male Newcomer of the Year (all sports)
