CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Illini head coach Justin Spring announced the signing of two gymnasts to national letters of intent on Thursday. Chandler Eggleston and Matt Foster will join the Illinois gymnastics team for the 2013-14 season.
"The two athletes we have signed, Chandler and Matt, are incredible," Spring said. "Chandler is one of the top incoming floor and vault workers in the country, while Matt is the strongest pommel horse recruit. Together, they will bring great strength and depth to those three events and also help in a variety of other events throughout their careers. We're looking for them to make a huge impact right out of the gate next year."
