2000-01: Did not compete this season due to a shoulder injury.
1999-2000: Pommel horse specialist. Helped clinch third-place team finish at the Big Ten Championships with his 9.35 on pommel horse, the Illini's final event at the Championships. Competed in nine of the 11 meets, including the last eight. Scored a 9.35 at Ohio State and against Penn State. Took second place against Michigan with a 9.65. Posted a 9.575 on horse at the NCAA Championships.
1998-99: Posted a career-high mark of 9.70 on pommel horse for 12th place at the East Regionals and fell three spots shy of advancing to the NCAA Championships. Scored a 9.450 on horse at Big Ten Championships. Placed fourth on pommel horse with a 9.45 at Santa Barbara in the final regular season meet of the year. Scored a 9.250 on pommel horse for eighth place against California, the defending national champions. Placed third on horse with a career-high 9.60 against Ohio State. Had the highest Illini score on pommel horse of 9.450 to place second at UIC. Had a 9.0 mark on the horse against Iowa. Scored a 9.25 for 8th place against Michigan State. Was the highest Illini scorer on the pommel horse with a 9.450 at the Windy City Invitational to place 11th.
1997-98: Competed on the pommel horse in five meets for the Illini. Scored a career-high 9.20 against Michigan and Penn State. Made Illinois' Dean's List after the fall semester.
High School: Finished fourth at the IHSA State Finals on the pommel horse in '97. Won the the pommel horse title at the IHSA Sectionals in '97. Placed second on the pommel horse at the NHSGCA National Finals. Won the Harrison Bulls Gymnastics Award at Hinsdale Central.
Personal: Son of Douglas and Jane Gill. Enjoys working with computers and martial arts.
