Made U.S. senior national team for the fourth time in his career after finishing fourth on rings and 12th in the all-around at the U.S. Visa Championships... Placed fourth on rings, sixth on pommel horse and seventh in the all-around at the U.S. Olympic Trials.
Freshman 2012
Earned three NCAA All-America accolades in his debut season for the Orange and Blue... Became Illinois' first-ever national still rings champion at the 2012 NCAA Championships, where he also finished second in the all-around to help the Illini to their first NCAA team title in more than two decades ... Took home the Big Ten all-around crown and was named both Big Ten Gymnast and Freshman of the Year at the 2012 conference championships, where he also placed second on floor, rings and high bar ... Tied redshirt senior Paul Ruggeri to lead the team with 20 titles this season, including eight on rings, five in the all-around and four on floor, marking team-high totals on all three apparatuses ... Secured at least one crown on every event except parallel bars ... Broke the school record on rings with a 15.850 during team finals at the Big Ten Championships ... Competed at the U.S. Winter Cup Challenge in early February, earning a silver medal on rings and a spot on the U.S. senior national team for the third time in his career ... Named Most Valuable by his teammates.
Freshman 2011
Brought home two bronze medals from the 2011 Pan American Games in October with third-place finishes on rings (15.550) and in the team competition ... Finished fourth in the all-around (85.300) at Pan Ams ... Earned an automatic spot on the U.S. senior national team after his performance at the 2011 U.S. Visa Championships, where he earned silver on rings (30.850), placed fifth on floor (30.300) and 10th on pommel horse (27.200) to finish eighth in the all-around with a two-day score of 175.550.
High School/Club
Became a Senior National Team Member in February after finishing third in the all-around, 10th on floor, first on rings and 10th on parallel bars at the Winter Cup Challenge ... Competed on an international assignment at the Cottbus Challenge Cup in Germany and took fourth place on rings with a 15.425.
