Pair of Fighting Illini Gymnasts to Compete at University Games

Illinois junior Tom Gibbs and sophomore Tyson Bull have each qualified to travel to the 2015 World Summer Universiade (FISU games) this summer in Gwangju, South Korea. The games will be held from July 3-14, with the artistic gymnastics competition ranging from July 4-7. Gibbs will be representing his home country of England while Bull will wear the Australian colors.

UI Athletics Administrators Named to NCAA Committees

A pair of University of Illinois athletics administrators have been named to four-year appointments on separate NCAA committees. Senior Associate Director of Athletics for External Relations and Strategic Communication and Men's Gymnastics Administrative oversight, Mike Waddell, has accepted a position on the NCAA Men's Gymnastics Committee while Associate Athletics Director for Academic Services, Keiko Price, has joined the Division I Degree Completion Award Committee. Both positions are set through August of 2019.

Wilner Named to Capital One Academic All-America Third Team

After earning his second Capital One Academic All-District distinction for NCAA Division I District Five schools in as many years, recent graduate Mike Wilner has been named to the Capital One Academic All-America third team.

Bull Wins High Bar and Pommel Horse Competitions at Australian Gymnastics Championships

Following his debut season with the Illinois men's gymnastics team, Tyson Bull returned to his home country to compete at the Australian Gymnastics Championships dating from May 18-30 in Melbourne, Australia.
