Matt Hoffman fired a three-under par 68 in the final round.

Woodstock, Ontario - Illinois senior Matt Hoffman finished strong at the Investors Group Ontario Amateur. The native of Thornhill used a stretch of five birdies in 10 holes to score a 68 in the final round of the event to place sixth. This marks his first top 10 at the event.
Hoffman recorded two strong rounds, including a nine-under par 62 on Wednesday, to finish at -4, in sole possession of sixth. Hoffman birdied three of the four par fives, including at the 18th on the day.
NCAA champion Matt Hill ran away with the title finishing at -14 after posting a six-under par 65 on Friday.

Hoffman's summer is heating up. The Ontario Amateur is the first of four tournaments in four weeks for the NCAA All-Midwest performer. He will participate in the Toronto Amateur beginning Tuesday before joining most of his teammates at the Western Amateur Aug. 3-8.
