CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - As is becoming a tradition, a number of Illini greats will highlight the field at the 2013 John Deere Classic at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., on July 11-14. And in accordance with that tradition, three-time JDC champion Steve Stricker and fellow Illini D.A. Points, Scott Langley, Luke Guthrie and Joe Affrunti will wear orange in the tournament's second round on Friday, July 12 to celebrate their ties to the University of Illinois.

Fans are encouraged to wear orange and join members of the University of Illinois Foundation, UI Alumni Association and Division of Intercollegiate Athletics at a tent between the tee boxes on holes No. 7 and 9. A variety of prizes will be given away, including Illini season football tickets, Illinois gear and much more. Illinois football posters and schedule cards also will be available, and fans can commemorate the day by having their picture taken at the Illinois tent.

Illinois coaches, including recent PGA Championship qualifier and coach of the NCAA runner-up Fighting Illini golf team, Mike Small, Illini football defensive line coach Greg Colby and athletics director Mike Thomas will be at the tent from 11 a.m.-noon to meet and greet fans.
