CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Junior Larry Nuger shot a 78 in the final round of competition at the 2000 Big Ten Men's Golf Championships to finish the tournament with a four-round total of 301.
The defending Big Ten co-champion finished in 19th place.
The Illini shot 312 strokes on the final day of the tournament.
Illinois was in fourth place after the first round, however, the Illini fell to 10th after round two.
They were in 11th place by the end of the second day of competition, which is where they finished in the Big Ten Conference.
Illinois shot a total of 1234 strokes in the four rounds of competition at the 72-par, 6,906-yard Kampen course in West Lafayette, Ind.
Freshman Geoff Lound was the second highest Illinois finisher.
Chris Dobrovolny shot a 317 to tie for 48th.
