Holds Illinois' all-time single 18-hole score with a 63 in the final round of the 2007 D.A. Weibring Invitational • Claimed his first collegiate victory at that event. • Ranks fifth on Illinois' all-time single-season victory list • Ranks fifth in career stroke average in school history.
2010-11: Qualified for the U.S. Open after winning a playoff in the Sectional Qualifier • Placed 13th at NCAA Championship • Finished in the top 10 at the Big Ten Championship for the fourth straight year, tying for fifth • Named Second Team All-Big Ten • Earned All-Big Ten Tournament for placing in the top five • Won the D.A. Weibring Invitational, his fifth career tournament title • Ranked second on the team with a 72.79 stroke average, including a 72.43 average for the spring • Named Academic All-Big Ten • Earned his fifth career Big Ten Golfer of the Week honor after winning all four of his matches at the Callaway Collegiate Match Play Championship.
2009-10: Named First-Team All-Big Ten • Won three tournaments in the spring • Has finished in the top 10 at all three Big Ten Championships of his career after tying for 10th in 2010 • His eagle on 13 in the final round helped ignite a late-round charge in Illinois' Big Ten title run • Has scored a team-leading 13 rounds under par • Won the Les Bolstad award given to the top regular-season stroke average among the Big Ten teams (71.54), edging out teammate Scott Langley by .05 strokes. Led the Illini with a 71.45 scoring average in the spring • His 72.00 season stroke average is the fourth best in school history • Named Big Ten Golfer of the Week four times, following leading the Illini to a victory in the Tinervin Cup (March 3) and after each of his three wins (FAU Spring Invite, Crooked Stick Invite and Boilermaker Invite) • Named Academic All-Big Ten.
2008-2009:
First Team All-Big Ten performer • Named Academic All-Big Ten • Placed in the top 10 at the Big Ten Championship for the second straight year, tying for third at +2 • Posted five top-four finishes, including four straight from March 27-May 3 • Was Illinois' top finisher in three tournaments • His 73.08 stroke average is 11th best in school history for a single season • Ranked second on the Illini with a 73.09 stroke average for the spring • Had nine rounds under par for the year • Placed second at the 68th Monroe Invitational over the summer.
2007-2008:
Participated for Illinois at the final five events, tying for fourth at the Fighting Illini Spring Invitational • Participated for Illinois at the NCAA Championships • Won U.S. Amateur qualifier by nine shots • Placed second at the Monroe Invitational over the summer • Set Illinois' all-time single 18-hole score with a 63 in the final round of the D.A. Weibring Invitational. • Won the individual title at the D.A. Weibring with a 209 (-1) • Tied teammate Matt Hoffman for 10th at the Big Ten Championship • Finished second at the Hochster Invitational over the summer.
