CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - Illinois head football coach Tim Beckman announced Wednesday the signing of four junior college student-athletes to national letters of intent to play football at the University of Illinois, as well as four high school seniors that will finish school early and enroll at Illinois in January 2014.

"We are extremely pleased to announce the addition of these eight young men to the Fighting Illini football family," Beckman said. "The four young men who dedicated themselves in earning their high school diploma in time to join us in the spring will gain tremendous experience with our team. Add in several junior college transfers, and we continue to improve the depth of this football team. Obviously, we are filling several holes with the addition of three receivers in this early group, along with three quality defensive players. All of these players will be given the opportunity to compete for playing time next fall."

All four junior college players, in addition to the early high school enrollees, are planning on starting classes at the University of Illinois in January and participating in spring football practices with the Illini. Complete bios on each new Illini are below.
