CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - First-year Illinois men's basketball coach Bill Self will appear in St. Louis at the Illinois Football Watch Party Sept. 30 when the Fighting Illini travel to Minnesota.

The Illini Football Watch Party, sponsored by the UI Alumni Association, St. Louis and Southwestern Illinois Illini Clubs, the Fighting Illini Scholarship Fund and the Varsity "I" Association, will be held at Maggie O'Brien's Restaurant, 2000 Market Street (next to Union Station), St. Louis. The party begins at 10:30 a.m. with heavy hors d'oeuvres and drink specials. Game time is 11 a.m. with Coach Self scheduled to address the group at halftime. Tickets are $15 and may be purchased at the door.

Illinois plays Minnesota in Big Ten football action Sept. 30 with the game being televised by ESPN.
