The University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics announced today that only scattered 'singles' remain for the Illinois-Michigan game Oct. 20, eliminating the opportunity for new sales of side-by-side seats for the marquee conference matchup. The Fighting Illini will continue to sell the scattered singles until the inventory is depleted and a sellout is declared.

"We feel it's very important that our diehard Illinois football fans realize tickets are moving at a rapid pace this season so they buy their tickets to the Western Illinois, Penn State, and Wisconsin games before those games approach this same situation," said Assistant Director of Athletics Chris Hanna. "The first four games are selling very well, and we anticipate great crowds for the each of the first four games. If you want tickets to these games, you should buy them now."

The Fighting Illini last notched a sellout in 2002, also for a game against Michigan. Sideline tickets to the Sept. 8 Western Illinois and Sept. 29 Penn State games are $42 each. The same tickets for the Oct. 6 Wisconsin game are $50. Plenty of great $42 seats remain for the Oct. 27 Homecoming game against Ball State and the Nov. 17 regular season finale against Northwestern. Tickets can be purchased at fightingillini.com or by calling 1-866-ILLINI-1.
