On the second drive of the scrimmage, quarterback Chandler Whitmer connected with freshman Darius Millines across the middle and Millines broke free for a 50-yard touchdown for the No. 2 offense.

And for the No. 3 offense, running back Justin Green broke a 66-yard touchdown run off left tackle after shedding numerous tacklers.

The Illini also practiced situations such as goal-line scenarios, "coming-out" situations where the offense was backed up against its own goal line, red-zone scenarios and a few two-minute drills to end the scrimmage. Both sides of the ball recorded highlights during the situational drills. Scheelhaase found Evan Wilson on an 18-yard TD strike during red zone work, while the scrimmage concluded with an interception by Supo Sanni during the 2-minute drill.
