Dustin Ward, Robby Long and Bobby Jackson, all former Illini, and all coaches now at DePauw University, watched Illinois' Wednesday practices at Camp Rantoul.

The University of Illinois football team announced it will move its Monday night scrimmage to Rantoul High School for a 6:15 p.m. start. Fans are welcome to attend the session free of charge. The practice will be the second session of the day for the Illini. They will go in shoulder pads and shorts at 8:15 a.m. WDWS-AM 1400 will broadcast live from the scrimmage, and the broadcast may be heard here on fightingillini.com. Weather could change time and site of scrimmage.

ALUMS RETURN TO CAMP: Former Illinois football players Dustin Ward (QB), Robby Long (DL) and Bobby Jackson (S) all experienced their fair share of Camp Rantoul practices. All three returned for one more go around, this time as coaches. The trio are on the DePauw coaching staff and came out to practice to get some last minute pointers before beginning their own preseason preparations next week.

GETTING CHATTY WITH VONTAE: Fans will have a chance to chat live with Illinois junior cornerback Vontae Davis online at www.fightingillini.com on Friday, Aug. 8 at Noon. Questions can be submitted right now.

ILLINI TWINS BORN: When Illinois alums and Fighting Illini fans Jason and Lori Hoag discovered they were having twin boys, they began naming the smudges on the sonogram "Juice" and "Rejus." As they entered their third trimester, it became apparent that they could not truly use those names, so they went a different route -- William and Ben, still honoring the Illini quarterback and receiver. The twins were born yesterday at 10:58 and 10:59 am. William Edwin Hoag was 6 lbs and 4 oz, while 5 lbs and 13 oz. Both Mom and the boys are all doing well.
