Limited Season Tickets Remain Available

Fans still have the option of purchasing season tickets for 2008, but supplies are limited.

The University of Illinois announced today that a limited number of season tickets remain for the 2008 season, becoming the only way for fans to attend the Ohio State game Nov. 15. Single-game tickets sold out for that game within one hour of opening on Tuesday.
"We wanted to reward our season-ticket buyers by retaining full sets of season tickets because those fans are a very important part of our ticket base," said Jason Heggemeyer, Assistant Athletic Director for Ticket Operations. "We have followed the trends of our ticket sales and are very confident that we will sell these remaining season ticket packages."
Unobstructed single-game sideline tickets remain for the Sept. 6 Illinois Renaissance game against Eastern Illinois, the Sept. 13 contest with Louisiana-Lafayette and the Oct. 11 Homecoming game against Minnesota. At the EIU game, the 10 greatest players in Memorial Stadium history at eight positions will be honored and the Fighting Illini will wear Dick Butkus-era throwback uniforms.
Tickets also continue to move briskly for the Indiana (Oct. 18) and Iowa (Nov. 1) games, both of which had the first five rows of seats opened on Tuesday. Sideline season ticket orders are currently being accepted and can be placed online at fightingillini.com, by calling 1-866-ILLINI-1, or by visiting the Athletic Ticket Office at the Assembly Hall. The sideline season ticket package is $225.
Fighting Illini fans are encouraged to purchase an orange "Zook Zone" towel to help build energy and create a great home-field advantage at Memorial Stadium. These towels went on sale July 1 and will remain on sale throughout the season. Towels can be found at both Gameday Spirit locations in Champaign for $7, with $1 of the proceeds from the sale of every towel going to help fight cancer through the Coaches vs. Cancer program.
