CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The University of Illinois Division of Intercollegiate Athletics announced Monday that tickets for the Horseshoe section of Memorial Stadium have officially sold out for the sixth-straight year. The Horseshoe spans sections 109 through 122 at Memorial Stadium (seating chart), holding about 12,000 seats.
"There's a renewed excitement for Illinois football and our Horseshoe season tickets are the best value in college football," said Jennifer Larson, Assistant Athletic Director for Sales and Marketing. "It's a great combination, and we are happy to know where Illinois fans want to be on Saturdays starting in September."
Sideline and student season tickets are still on sale, while single-game tickets will go on sale July 17. Tickets can be purchased at fightingillini.com, over the phone at 1-866-ILLINI-1 or in person at the UI Athletics Ticket Office located on the west side of Assembly Hall.
Led by new head coach Tim Beckman, the Illini are coming off bowl victories in back-to-back seasons for the first time in school history. The 2012 schedule includes seven home games, including four in the month of September.
